After long searches, we have chosen to settle in the heart of the country, in the city of Râșnov, a place where history and nature intertwine in a vivid and vibrant tableau. Surrounded by the Peleș and Bran castles, as well as the Râșnov Citadel, Râșnov offers guests the opportunity to connect with the past and get lost in the beauty of the present.
Here, in the center of Romania, we have chosen to acquire the land and build our dream. A place where guests can explore the beauty of our country, where they can feel the spirit of freedom, and where they can discover the diversity that our country offers—from tall mountains and deep valleys to varied fauna and the spirit of freedom that fills your soul. A place where every day is an adventure, and every memory is a treasure. This is our dream, this is our gift to you.
Pouring the foundation
The moment we poured the foundation for Sparrow’s Nest cabin was one filled with intense and palpable emotions. Each drop of concrete merging with the earth was a step forward on our journey, a cornerstone in the construction of our dream. It was the moment when our vision began to take shape, transforming from a mere dream into a tangible reality.
Our hearts beat in unison with the rhythm of the concrete mixer, and our souls were filled with boundless happiness. All the sacrifices, sleepless nights, and efforts we had put in were starting to bear fruit. We felt how each drop of poured concrete not only solidified the cabin’s foundation but also our confidence in the future.
From here, it is only a matter of time until the first guests will step smiling over the doorstep of our cabin. And then, we will know that all the sacrifices were worth it, that our dream has become a reality.
Assembling the cabin
The assembly of the cabin is the magical moment when our dream begins to take shape. The silhouette of the cabin gradually rises, tracing itself against the blue sky, while the scent of fresh wood envelops our senses.
Each carefully placed timber adds a new line to our story, urging us to look higher, towards the roof, and then towards the infinite sky. It’s a moment of respite, a perfect opportunity to take a deep breath, to feel how nature surrounds us, and to be grateful for everything we have achieved.
We are here, in the midst of nature, breathing in the fresh air and feeling the joy and serenity fill our souls. It’s a sensation we wish to share with all our guests. We hope that every person who crosses the threshold of our cabin will feel the same joy, the same tranquility, and the same connection with nature.
Connecting utilities
Log cabins have always been a refuge of peace and comfort. At Sparrow’s Nest, we have recreated this sensation while adding a touch of modernity. We chose to combine the robustness of wood with green technology, creating a space where comfort is intertwined with respect for nature.
An important component of the project is the heating and cooling system with a heat pump. It ensures the ideal temperature regardless of the season, and thanks to the natural insulation of the logs, a constant climate is maintained. This way, we can offer our guests the opportunity to enjoy a dream vacation while contributing to environmental protection.
By choosing a cabin built with respect for nature and equipped with green technology, every guest contributes to limiting pollution and protecting the environment.
Landscaping the green spaces
The landscaping of the green spaces in Sparrow’s Nest cabin’s garden was carried out with meticulous attention to detail, in perfect harmony with the log cabin. We wanted to create a space that breathes, where lush greenery stretches generously without overcrowding or overwhelming the space.
Our goal was to create a place where light dances freely, where the air is fresh and clean, and where freedom is more than just a feeling—it’s an experience. A place where the stress of the city and urban congestion are nothing but distant memories.
Our garden is the perfect spot to savor a morning coffee as the sun’s rays gently warm the air or to enjoy a glass of wine at sunset as the sky dresses in fiery colors. It’s a place where children can laugh and play outdoors, where the family can gather to savor the delights cooked on the grill.
Interior design
The interior design of the Sparrow’s Nest cabin is a true delight, a harmonious blend of rustic and modern elements that both captivate and surprise. We placed a strong emphasis on comfort, making it the key point of this project and ensuring it is reflected in every corner of the cabin.
The open-concept living area, with large windows allowing natural light to flood the space, is the heart of the cabin. It’s where you’ll spend the most memorable moments, whether enjoying a family meal or engaging in a board game. Light, air, and space come together here to create a relaxing and welcoming environment.
The bathrooms and bedrooms are equally impressive. They are designed to provide you with safety, tranquility, comfort, and privacy. Whether you’re unwinding under the shower after a day full of adventures or resting in bed, you’ll feel that every moment spent here is special.
Welcoming the first guests
We are eagerly awaiting the moment when the first guests will cross our doorstep. They are more than just visitors; they are the pioneers of our dream, the affirmation that everything we envisioned, planned, and created has come to life just as we imagined. They are the ones who will contribute to the development and evolution of Sparrow’s Nest, breathing life into our cabin.
